Using Blogs in the Media Center
Blogs offer a shared space where students can come together and collaborate. Students who blog are sharing information with their own network of subject matter experts, peers, colleagues, parents and community members. By creating a personal blog, on-line, students are learning what is appropriate behavior as a producer of content on the web, as an author of their own blog and as a commentor on other blogs. Blogs allow students to share knowledge and participate ethically and productively as members of our democratic society. The practice of owning a blog and participating in the blogosphere is an information literacy standard for the 21st century learner.
